The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust Scholarship

On the Donor

In 2021, The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust pledged a donation for the establishment of a scholarship. The aim of the Scholarship is to recognize and provide financial support to students from less privileged backgrounds and encourage them to contribute to the society through community service.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded to students who have been admitted into the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree programme.

Up to five scholarships shall be awarded each year.

The Scholarship shall be awarded based on academic merit (as shown in the public examination or qualification for admission to the University), financial need (students from families under Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme and those with special financial circumstances), community service (40 hours of community service during Secondary 4 to 6). In cases of students with equal merit, preference will be given to those with the highest number of community service hours.
