On the Donor
In October 2017, Dr Edmund Cheung (MBBS 1957) made a donation to establish a student enrichment fund in memory of Mr Wong Shek Yung, father of his late wife, Mrs Shirley Cheung. Mr TH Wong, brother-in-law of Dr Cheung, also made a donation in support of the Fund.
The purpose of the Fund is to encourage students to broaden their horizons by taking part in a wide range of learning activities outside Hong Kong.
Purpose and Scope
The Enrichment Fund shall be deployed to support central scholarship or student grant schemes for undergraduate students taking part in learning activities such as but not limited to academic exchange, field trips, study tours, internships and research fellowships.
The value of the each scholarship/grant is currently set at up to HK$20,000. The exact value of scholarship/grant and selection criteria pertaining to each type of scheme shall be in line with the terms of reference governing the operation of the aforementioned central schemes.
