George William Hong Choy Memorial Scholarship

On the Donor

In 1997, the family and friends of the late Mr George William Hong Choy donated a sum to establish a scholarship in his memory. Mr George William Hong Choy was a graduate of The University of Hong Kong, a holder of the King Edward V scholarship, and was involved in the field of education during most of his life. The above -named scholarship was awarded from the 1989-99 academic year. 

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship will be awarded to a Year 1 student, of any faculty, who has attained the best results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination. Financial need may be taken into account if necessary. This one student shall be chosen from a shortlist of first-year students who have graduated from one of the following schools:

(a) Diocesan Boys' School;

(b) Wah Yan Hong Kong College;

(c) Chan Shu Kui Memorial School; or

(d) Delia Memorial School (any branches).
