E. Bruzzone Memorial Travelling Scholarship, Rev. Fr.
On the Donor
In memory of the late Rev. Fr. E. Bruzzone P.I.M.E., Mr Anthony H.H. Ng donated a sum in support of travelling scholarships. The scholarship shall be used to enable students who have successfully completed MArch Year 1 to travel to Rome and/or other European cities to see examples of modern and acclaimed architecture. Preference will be given to students who have performed well in the History of Architecture or similar courses in their undergraduate studies.
Purpose and Scope
One scholarship shall be awarded each year, on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Participation in extra-curricular activities and the proposed overseas study programme shall also be taken into account.
The overseas study programme shall be undertaken during the summer following the end of MArch Year 1 studies. On completion of the programme, the recipient shall make a presentation at a meeting to be arranged by the Department of Architecture and shall present copies of the presentation and other relevant materials to the donor and the Department.
The value of the Scholarship shall be HK$15,000 per year and it should be used to cover the cost of air-tickets (at the lowest economy class airfare) and other necessary expenses for the approved study programme.
The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other merit-based enrichment scholarship administered by the University for the same activity. The Scholarship may be held concurrently with non-merit-based financial aids.
